How to earn thrifty transportation card
1 When you turn on the app, you need to turn on Wi-Fi, and in Settings > App list, it tells you to turn on Thrift Transportation Card > Location > Precise Location. Once done click the close button.
2 Wi-Fi is for more detailed location measurement, and it is said that you can just turn on the Wi-Fi module even if you are not connected to Wi-Fi.
3 For iPhone, you need to set the location information first to protect personal information. No message appears. Do you want to allow use of location like below when “depart” button is pressed? message appears. Here, select Allow while using the app.

4 If you have permitted the use of location information, open the Settings app Settings app > Scroll down to the bottom of the Smart Transportation Card > Location > Check and correct location while using the app to earn normally.
5 If the GPS setting is complete, now touch the Leave Home button when departing.
6 Mileage accrual is (departure) > mileage accrual for walking distance > take a traffic card and ride > take a traffic card and get off > accrue mileage for walking distance > (arrival). Therefore, when departing, do not forget to launch the app and touch the start button.
7 Mileage is not accrued for the distance you walk during transit, and you can press the button upon arrival, but it will be credited automatically even if you do not press the arrival button upon arrival.
8 Open the app and touch Public Transportation History to view boarding and alighting times. Mileage is paid only when using public transportation more than 15 times a month, and the maximum number of uses per month is 44 times.

Most cards available these days can be used, but please note that there are some cards that are restricted or cannot be used.
You can put the card underneath and take a picture. If it is not recognized, you can manually input the card.
Enter the expiration date of the recognized card and the name of the cardholder (optional), the security code of the card, and enter other card passwords and resident registration numbers to proceed…

And you just need to select the registered card…
If you select it, the transportation card will be added.
For reference, if the transportation card module has not been updated, a screen to install it will appear. Click OK to proceed.

The one-time limit is 5,000 won. If you have registered for the first time, you can use it immediately, but if you have not used your transportation card for more than 30 days after using it before, you need to reactivate your transportation card, which takes 1 to 3 days.
