애견동반 휴양림Did you know that there aren’t many dog-friendly recreation forests in the country?
There are only four of them, and I went to a quiet Yeongyang for a healing trip and visited Momo Gamja and the National Geummasan Natural Recreation Forest.
□ Dog Natural Recreation Forest Entry Criteria: Small and medium-sized dogs (15kg or less) / Dogs over 6 months old / No more than 2 dogs per room in the recreation forest, and 1 dog per guest
/ Medium and large dogs over 15kg, including vicious dogs (8 types), and dogs with illnesses or in heat or menstruation are not allowed to enter
– Pet registration completed / Rabies vaccination completed / Appearance in good health
– Pets must be registered to prevent abandoned dogs and ensure the safety of visitors, and entry is not permitted without a rabies vaccination certificate issued within the past year.
(Please make sure to bring your pet registration card when checking in to the recreation forest. If you do not bring it, you will not be able to enter.)

I have simply copied the regulations from the Forest Service above. Please keep in mind that your pet must be registered and have a rabies vaccination certificate from within the past year!
In winter, you can’t actually enter the recreation forest, and only those who have made a reservation for lodging can use the recreation forest with their accompanying dogs.
I didn’t check in advance, so I was about to turn back, but the ticket booth employee said that admission is free in winter,
so I could just pay the parking fee and look around, so I was able to enjoy the Geommasan Natural Recreation Forest where snow was falling heavily 🙂
I went this time, and I definitely wanted to come back in other seasons, not just winter, by reserving lodging! The price was so cheap,
so I thought it would be great to rest at the lodging right after a walk in the recreation forest. Let’s take a look together!

When you park and come in, you can see a dog park right at the entrance. The fence is sturdy and there is a place to throw away poop bags, so it was nice.

During my trip to Yeongyang, the snow had all melted in other places, so I thought it would be hard to see snow..
This year, it snowed more than usual, but Geummasan Recreation Forest had much more snow than other places because it is a mountain!

In fact, I think Momogamja had the most fun at the dog park ^^! My favorite snow is here, and I can jump around on my favorite playground, so I played here the longest 😀

My favorite jump shot was taken in a completely white snow field, so it didn’t look like a real shot
And since it’s a resort, there were a lot of trees, so even if I took a random shot, it was just like a pictorial, so I was happy!

The path was well-made, and since it was snow and not ice, I walked for a full two hours without slipping
Momogamja walks really well, right? Of course, I also thought that if there was no snow, the difficulty level would have been easier for the walking course 🙂
It was not very high and was a shallow hill, so I felt like I could comfortably walk and feel the phytoncide regardless of age.

I turned back with regret as I watched the setting sun. It was almost closing time, so I hurried down.
I really want to make a reservation for a place to stay in the fall and thoroughly explore the recreation forest 😀
