I usually put a Kakao check card on the back of my smartphone case and use it as a transportation card.
But sometimes, if you take out your card and go to work, if you don’t have a wallet, you have to withdraw cash to buy a pass.
After experiencing this a few times, I came to use the Kakao Mobile transportation card.
When you run KakaoTalk, click the (…) 3 dots at the bottom right, and the More screen appears.
Click Kakao Pay (PAY) at the top.
If Kakao Pay is already installed and you are using a widget on the desktop, you can go directly to [Asset Management].
If you go to Kakao Pay and select the [Service] tab, there is [Mobile Transportation Card] in the payment section.
If you select a mobile transportation card, select [Issue] on the next screen.
While T-money and eB SIM transportation cards have a charging fee, Kakao does not have a charging fee.
Agree to all terms of service for issuance.
A mobile transportation card was created immediately upon application, and let’s charge it for use.
There are automatic charging and manual charging.
If you use your mobile card continuously, it is good to use automatic recharge.
If you want to recharge whenever you run out of money while looking at the amount you have used, you can use manual recharge.
You can choose from 10,000 won, 30,000 won, or 50,000 won for manual charging, and you can also directly enter other amounts.
When the balance is less than 5,000 won, 10,000 won, or 20,000 won, you can choose between 10,000 won, 30,000 won, and 50,000 won for automatic recharge.

When recharging a mobile transportation card, income deduction is not automatically applied. Be sure to apply for income deduction as shown in the screen below.
How to use the mobile transportation card
It is not necessary to run the KakaoTalk/transportation card app when tagging at the subway or bus ticket gate machine.
If NFC is selected as basic or card mode, it is automatically recognized when only the screen is turned on.
NFC basic or card mode must be selected.
It is a picture of manually charging 10,000 won.
