The topography of Sokcho is a bit unique, with the lake and the sea right next to each other. The roads that cross the border are Seorak Bridge and Geumgang Bridge. It may be a bit difficult because you have to climb the high stairs, but the advantage is that you can take in the scenery of Sokcho at a glance. Let’s enjoy the scenery of Sokcho that only those who have climbed up can see.

Seoraksan Mountain is a place worth visiting in Sokcho that you would regret not leaving out. Seoraksan Mountain is often enjoyed by hiking, but you can also take a cable car to get there. However, the Seoraksan Cable Car is so popular that there may be a long line, so we recommend visiting early in the morning. If you don’t feel like hiking or taking the cable car, you can also visit a temple in Seoraksan Mountain. The foggy Seoraksan Mountain and the large Buddha statue create a mysterious atmosphere.
There are two temples built near the sea in Korea. One is the famous Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan, and the other is Naksansa Temple in Yangyang near Sokcho. Since they are very close to Sokcho, they are good travel destinations to visit together. Naksansa Temple is quite large. You can say you have truly seen Naksansa Temple only if you go to the Haesu Gwaneum Statue, not just the temple you see in front.
