Introduction to the Healthy Living Practice Subsidy System
As people enter middle age, diseases occur due to health risk factors such as obesity, drinking, and smoking, and the number of people with chronic diseases is increasing day by day. At this time, the government operated the ‘Healthy Living Practice Subsidy Pilot Project’ in response to the need for expansion of investment in the field of prevention and policy to ensure that individuals live longer in health than suffering from disease through self-management of their health. An incentive system was introduced to encourage healthy living practices and health improvement through voluntary participation.

In other words, incentives in the form of points are provided according to each activity and health improvement results of healthy living, and if the points are 10,000 or more, they can be used at a location designated by the Corporation.

Registered primary care chronic disease management pilot project
Primary care chronic disease management project registration is a comprehensive hypertension and diabetes management service centered on local clinics and linked to community resources. Unlike existing medical services that mainly prescribe medication, this is a service in which care coordinators such as nurses or nutritionists or doctors directly educate and advise patients about eating habits and exercise. After patients with chronic diseases visit local clinics participating in the pilot project and register, the following patient management services are provided.

Identify the patient’s disease and lifestyle habits and establish a management plan on a yearly basis
Inspection and consultation through text and phone calls
Provide disease and lifestyle improvement education
Customized management that periodically checks and evaluates clinical values such as blood pressure and blood sugar, and the degree of achievement of lifestyle improvement goals
