Gyeonggi Province will accept applications for the second quarter of 2023 for the ‘Youth Basic Income’, which will pay 250,000 won quarterly to young people aged 24, from 9 a.m. on June 1 to 6 p.m. on the 30th.
Those eligible to apply are those who have resided in Gyeonggi-do for more than 3 consecutive years as of the date of application, or who have lived in Gyeonggi-do for a total of 10 years or more, and who are currently registered as residents in Gyeonggi-do and are over 24 years of age and born between April 2, 1998, and April 1, 1999. They are three young men.
The young person can register as a member at the Gyeonggi-do job platform Jobaba (apply.jobaba.net) and apply online or via mobile.
Documents to be submitted include an abstract of resident registration (issued after June 1, including the last 5 years or complete address history). However, since the public MyData service is being introduced and implemented to simplify submission documents, a copy of resident registration is automatically submitted if the young person agrees at the time of application. Recipients of basic livelihood security must submit a separate certificate.
Existing recipients who agreed to the automatic application last quarter are eligible for review without a separate application, but if there are changes in personal information or if you wish to apply retroactively for the first quarter of this year from the third quarter of last year, you must modify the information within the application period for the second quarter of this year.
After confirming the applicant’s age and period of residence, the province will pay 250,000 won in local currency equivalent to the second quarter starting July 20 in the form of an electronic card or mobile phone.
If you are selected as a recipient of payment, you will receive a confirmation message by text, and the card will be delivered to the address you entered when applying. After receiving the card, if you register it through the customer center or mobile app, you can freely use it at traditional markets or small businesses in your area like a check card. However, use is restricted in department stores, large supermarkets, corporate supermarkets (SSM), and entertainment establishments.
For more information, please contact the youth basic income department in each city or county, the Gyeonggi-do call center (031-120), or the Gyeonggi-do job platform ‘Jobava’.
