교통안전 공익제보단 Korea Transportation Safety Authority, regular recruitment for ‘public benefit system for violation of two-wheeled vehicle regulations’ – Shina Ilbo

교통안전 공익제보단The Traffic Safety Public Service Commission was introduced in 2020 to eradicate illegal driving of two-wheeled vehicles, which has become more likely to occur due to the delivery culture that has rapidly spread since COVID-19. Since its introduction, 5,000 citizens have worked as a reporting group and reported a total of 743,720 cases.
The Korea Transportation Safety Authority plans to recruit 5,000 people this year and pay rewards for public interest reports. 4,000 won will be paid to those who report violations of road traffic laws, such as driving on sidewalks and not wearing safety helmets, and 8,000 won will be paid to those who report serious violations of traffic laws, such as violation of traffic lights and crossing the center line. If you report a violation of the Automobile Management Act due to covering or damaging the license plate, you will receive 6,000 won.
However, as the National Police Agency’s Smart Citizen Report and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security’s Safety Report Center are integrated, only reports related to the Road Traffic Act received through the Safety Report Center are recognized as performance.
If the public interest reporting group determines that there is a risk of harm due to public interest reporting during the course of its activities, it may request personal protection measures from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in accordance with the Public Interest Reporter Protection Act. If, in order to film information materials, you violate traffic laws or engage in acts that go against the purpose of the information group, such as using abusive language or swearing at related people such as police or public officials, your activities will be restricted.
