The goals of human rights education are to raise a proper understanding and interest in the human rights of the elderly, to improve the human rights sensitivity of the installers/operators and workers of welfare facilities for the elderly and long-term care facilities for the elderly, and to protect and improve the human rights of the elderly for users of welfare facilities and long-term care facilities for the elderly.

 

 

Eligible persons are installers/operators and workers of welfare facilities for the elderly pursuant to Article 31 of the Welfare of the Elderly Act, excluding senior citizens’ centers and classrooms for the elderly pursuant to Article 36, Paragraph 1, Items 2 and 3 of the same Act, and those who are employed in the Long-Term Care Insurance Act for the Elderly, Article 32 Installers/operators and workers of rehabilitated long-term care institutions established according to

 

The training time is more than 4 hours every year, and in the case of Internet education, it is more than 6 hours. Applied from 2019, training completed from the effective date of the Act to December 31, 2018 is recognized as 2019 performance. There are three training methods, each of which is as follows.

 

 

 

Collective – The human rights education institution proceeds according to the annual human rights education plan
Visits – Human rights education instructors visit welfare facilities for the elderly/long-term care institutions at home
Internet – Proceed by utilizing the Cyber Education Center of the Human Rights Education Institute

The main contents of education include laws/systems related to the human rights of the elderly, domestic and international trends, cases of human rights violations that occur in welfare facilities for the elderly or long-term care institutions, and reporting procedures and procedures in case of violations.
