Why are you asking so much?
When it comes to financial transactions, you need a lot of documents that prove you are who you are. Among them, the most troublesome one was the ‘joint certificate (formerly, public certificate)’. On May 20, the National Assembly removed the monopoly status of accredited certificates and imposed the same effect on all signatures. Our public corporation also introduced ‘electronic authentication service’, so that is ‘financial certificate’.
First of all, I used PASS operated by telecommunication companies for private electronic signature services. I felt it was more convenient than the existing public certificate that had to install complex plug-ins, but when I personally experienced the ‘financial certificate’, it was quite convenient. In addition to the convenience of private service, a trusted organization manages it in the cloud, and the renewal period is 3 years, so it seems like a service worth trying.
Let’s install it and use it smartly, shall we?
Obtaining a ‘financial certificate’
– What to bring: Smartphone, security media (security card/OTP)
Issuing is simple. Don’t be afraid~ We, Kookmin, Shinhan, Enterprise, Gyeongnam, Nonghyup, Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, Suhyup, etc. seem to be similar.
1. Access the smart banking application operated by your main bank.
2. Find the [Authentication/Security] menu in the ‘Main Screen’ or ‘Manage Menu’ of the application.
3. If you click the [Financial Certificate] issuance button, you are already half way there.

4. After the account selection and authentication process through a secure medium is completed (Steps 1 and 2 may be slightly different for each bank), from Step 3, follow the KFTC tutorial and you are done!!

5. You should not panic in Step 5, right? When spraying like this, you just need to enter a number and ‘send’ it as if you were sending a reply to a friend.
The following is a summary of the questions you may be interested in when issuing.
– Who is the financial certificate issuance for?
Customers whose real name has been verified face-to-face or non-face-to-face at a financial company such as a bank (because supplementary media can be issued only when using the Internet banking service) can use it for free.
– Should financial certificates be issued for each bank?
No Nob~ Only one financial certificate can be issued per person. With the issued financial certificate, you can register as a third-party certificate at a financial institution such as a bank, credit card company, or insurance company to which the financial authentication service is applied. huh
– Can I connect even if the mobile phone is not in my name?
It is possible~ Name, mobile phone number. You only need to enter your date of birth. (I tried issuing it from my wife’s phone to my account, that is, to my bank account, but it worked well~ However, Step2. Smart usage of ‘financial certificate’
Financial certificate… Where can I find it?
Do you want to put it on a USB or storage medium?!
You got the issuance, but you can’t find it? A~ It’s cloud-based. First of all, in the case of mobile, I think you need to change the login method in the main transaction smart banking app. Where is the location? Just find the [App Settings] button. The screen below is the setting screen of my main bank app.

Finally, it is the moment of the first login that makes my heart tremble. There is one thing to keep in mind here, here are some tips. If you select ‘Auto Connect’ and ‘Certificate Favorites’, you can skip the cumbersome ‘Enter subscription information’, ‘Cell phone occupation authentication (text authentication)’, and ‘Certificate selection’ process!!!

>> Favorites function is based on the smart banking app. If you access the [Financial Certificate] – [Certificate Management] menu in the [Authentication/Security] menu, you can check the shape (!) of the ‘financial certificate’ stored in the cloud. The [Certificate Management] menu is a page provided by the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, and it is the same for all banks. You can also manage auto-connected devices by clicking the right corner of this screen. When I tested both with Internet Explorer and Chrome, it seemed to recognize it well. In addition, up to 5 automatically connected devices can be registered.
Where can I use it?
As of the writing date, it can be used at Government 24, Kookmin Shinmungo, Subscription Home, Hometex, etc. based on the full implementation of banking on December 10th.
Is “year-end settlement” possible with a financial certificate? (Future electronic signature market)

Year-end tax settlement without an accredited certificate?? Even as of the writing date of the post, the National Tax Service Hometax site can be accessed with a ‘financial certificate’. On December 21st, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected Kakao, telecommunications company PASS (ATON, KT, LGU+, SKT), Korea Information Certification (Samsung PASS), KB Kookmin Bank, and NHN Payco as the final operators as private digital signature service pilot operators.
It is said that this private service will be available from the year-end tax settlement simplification service of the National Tax Service on January 15 next year. With the introduction of private electronic signatures in the public sector, it is predicted that the user’s convenience will gradually increase.

1. Search for Nonghyup Internet Banking.
The first screen is the personal Internet banking screen. Instead of there, click on the company and click on the Certification Center.
If you use a computer that you do not normally use, you can do security authentication. In that case, click ‘Yes’ on the pop-up window that appears.

2. Click Renew Certificate (Certificate for Electronic Tax).
Since you are ‘renewing’ an existing electronic tax certificate, be sure to click the Renew Certificate button. If you click Issuance/Reissuance of Certificate for Electronic Tax on the right, the existing certificate will be issued as it is, and the certificate will expire on the expiration date. ㅠㅠ I hope you don’t get confused because you have to re-issue it!
If this screen appears, do not panic and click Install Individually.
Click the exe button here to run it. Close when finished.
If the screen disappears, you can start over from step 1 without panicking.
3. Shall we renew the certificate?
Click the Confirm button for E-Tax in Certificate Classification.
Then the certificate screen appears and the existing certificate is displayed. Then, there is the password you wrote down including the special characters you pressed when verifying the electronic tax invoice. Enter that.
Enter the following user ID (available for inquiry), business registration number, withdrawal account, withdrawal account password, and fund transfer password (including English and English numbers) in order.
Finally
Enter the number from your security card or OTP and you’re done!
We’re almost there. The next screen shows how to pay the renewal issuance fee for e-tax invoice application.
When renewing a joint certificate, you must pay the same fee as for issuance.
Joint certificate for e-tax: 4,400 won
4. Electronic tax invoice application
Please fill out the payment method of the issuance fee in order.
Just fill in the blanks in order. Is it okay? hehe
Finally, just click the ‘Confirm’ button to complete the renewal of the joint certificate for electronic tax calculation! Enter the password you used to authenticate with the National Tax Service once more and you are done 🙂
Since the certificate has been renewed, you can use it from a USB or other computer.
