CGV has established itself as the largest multiplex in Korea, and has the largest number of screens and has the largest number of users. I like watching movies at the theater, but when I watch a popular movie during the evening, it is frustrating because it is almost always sold out. That’s why movie enthusiasts also use the Jojo time zone. The early morning session has the advantage of being able to watch movies at a discounted price and a little cheaper, and you can enjoy it more leisurely because there are fewer audiences than in the evening.
Early morning discount at CGV is limited to sessions scheduled from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on weekdays. These days, I didn’t know because I watched it almost for free, but the price of the movie has risen a lot.
In the case of General Hall 2D, the early morning discount price is 8,000 won for the general public and 7,000 won for teenagers. To be honest, I don’t recommend the 3D tube, but it costs 11,000 won for the general public and 10,000 won for teenagers.
On Fridays and weekends, an additional 1,000 won is added to the 2D general hall compared to weekdays, and the 3D hall remains the same.
Since 2014, CGV has a price difference even at the same time depending on the location of the seat, and different prices are also applied depending on weekends and weekdays.
CGV’s SoundX Hall is a specialized hall where you can enjoy three-dimensional sound by expressing the direction and distance of sound according to the movement of the video. If you want to enjoy more three-dimensional sound, I would recommend you to experience SoundX at least once.
The opening time for the Sound X Pavilion is the same, and the price is 9,000 Won, an additional 1,000 Won compared to the general pavilion for 2D.
Comfort seats are wider than regular seats and are equipped with comfortable seats such as soft sofas. Those who want to enjoy a movie in a little more leisurely way rather than crowded and uncomfortable seats tend to choose the Comfort Hall.
4DX personally, once in a while? I think it’s good to watch. I recommend it for movies with a lot of action scenes like Mission Impossible. In the case of 4DX 3D, even if two people watch it on a weekday evening, the price of well over 44,000 won seems to be burdensome.
The SweetBox seats are located at the very back of the theater and are called couple seats. Therefore, the price is based on a two-person reservation.
For convenience, I will explain on a PC basis. Run the CGV homepage or application to enter the search page for each theater. In my case, I prefer to select a theater first when booking a movie.
Then, you can check the screening timetable by selecting all CGV branches nationwide. If you log in, you can set up frequently visited locations, which is more convenient.
If you select a desired location and specify a date, the screening schedule for that location appears. If there is a sunlight icon below the screening time, you can apply the early morning discount. how is it? Simple, right?
