If a birth report and resident registration number are given after giving birth after January 2022, you are eligible for support and 2 million won will be paid as points.
Received points can be used for one year from the date of birth, and remaining points will expire after one year, so be sure to use them within the deadline.
If you already have a Kookmin Happiness Card issued, points will be given to the existing card without the need to issue additional ones.
Those who have not issued a Kookmin Happiness Card must apply through a separate card company, and you can easily check the related information on the ‘Bokbokro Homepage – Welfare Service – Electronic Voucher Service Guide – Kookmin Happiness Card’.

There is no specific application deadline, but points can only be used up to one year after birth, so it is recommended to apply right after birth.
Only the parents of the child giving birth can apply online, and use the website of Government 24 or Welfare.

Parents and agents can apply. Please visit the Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Center located at the child’s resident registration address.
The grant can be purchased online or offline for a variety of products needed to raise a child.
However, please note that use is restricted for industries that are far from childcare (entertainment, speculation, massage, leisure, adult products, etc.), and if the product is paid in excess of the subsidy, the user must pay the excess.
In 2023, parents with children under the age of 0 can receive KRW 700,000 per month.
