As explained earlier, you can apply for free collection of waste home appliances on the ‘Circular Governance’ website. It is reliable as it is a site operated by the Ministry of Environment, and is easy to use because it does not require separate membership registration.

1. Access the circular governance website
First, please access the circular governance homepage through the following link.
2. Click to schedule collection
Once you have accessed the website, please refer to the image below and click on the ‘Reserve Collection’ menu.
3. Agree to Terms of Use
When you click the ‘Schedule Collection’ button, the ‘Agree to Terms of Use’ page will appear as shown in the image below. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, click the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the screen.
4. Select waste home appliances for collection
Next, there is a screen to select waste home appliances for collection. Please select the type of home appliance you wish to collect. I randomly chose a 4-compartment refrigerator. Then press the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Enter basic applicant information
This is the screen where you enter the applicant’s basic information. Please enter your name, contact information, and collection address accurately.
6. Enter collection information
Next is the collection information input screen. First, select the type of residence (apartment, villa, etc.) and specify whether or not there is an elevator. Then, you can select your desired discharge date.
There is no need to register separately for discharge product registration or label registration, and if you have a collection request, please enter it in the corresponding field. Then click the ‘Next’ button at the bottom.
7. Confirm discharge reservation
This is the final screen. As shown in the image below, the selected waste home appliance, applicant, and collection location information will be displayed. Please carefully check that the information you entered is correct.
Then, when you press the ‘Confirm’ button at the bottom of the screen, a personal authentication screen will appear and once you complete the authentication process, your application for free collection of waste home appliances will be completed.
There are some precautions you should be aware of before applying for free collection of waste home appliances. Not all waste home appliances can be collected for free.
In the case of most large home appliances, free collection is possible for a single product, but in the case of small home appliances, free collection is only possible if there are 5 or more items.
