How to check product information on household chemical products

The humidifier disinfectant incident has raised awareness about chemical products frequently used in daily life. Therefore, in accordance with the Act on Safety Management of Household Chemical Products and Biocides, household chemical products are required to be reported or approved by the Ministry of Environment.
In addition, like KC certification, a report/approval number is assigned to each product so that anyone can check product information using that number. Today, we will briefly summarize how to search for information on household chemical products.

You can search for household chemical product safety information right on the site’s main screen. In addition, if you look at the bottom, you can see products that violate household chemical product laws and products with all ingredients disclosed.
2. Search product information
You can search by product type, such as air freshener or disinfectant, or by product name or report/approval number.
I searched for air fresheners made by LG Household & Health Care. I was able to check in great detail the reporting information, product information, information on substances used in the product, information on the manufacturer/importer, and details of violations. ㄷㄷㄷ
The report number refers to the number issued after reporting the product to the Ministry of Environment. LG Saffron Styler Sheet Baby Powder product was tested and inspected by the Korea Testing and Research Institute, and the expiration date is February 9, 2024.
In the product information, you can check what the product is, information about its formulation, purpose, weight, etc., as well as how to use it and precautions for use.
