ktx 입석 예매In the meantime, due to the nature of standing or non-reserved seats where seats are not assigned, it has been possible to purchase tickets only through the station window due to various problems such as fraudulent use and difficulty in checking tickets.

However, from February 27, 2018, due to a change in the system, only KTX can be purchased through the Korail Talk app.

There is not a big difference from the existing method of purchasing seat tickets with a smartphone, but there are a few purchase conditions that need explanation.

If you want to know more details, such as the location of non-reserved seats by train or the difference between standing and non-reserved seats, please refer to the links to related articles at the end of this article.

How to book standing and non-reserved tickets on Korail Talk

▲ Search for the itinerary you want.

If there is a seat, it would be great, but if not, you can book a standing ticket only if it says that it is available for standing as above.

Standing or non-reserved seats cannot be purchased if seats are sold out and marked ‘sold out’.

Sold-out means that even standing seats cannot be purchased, and even standing seats are sold in a limited number compared to seats for safety and comfort in the car.

▲ Select whether to allow standing on the desired train. (A in the picture above)

You can inquire about train times and fares, but you cannot select a seat because you are standing.
Please click “Make a reservation” (B in the picture above).

▲ Check that the reservation details are correct and click Make Payment

▲ Enter the credit card information to be paid and press Payment/Issue.

▲ The ticket has been issued.

When boarding, you can check the ticket you have reserved in the ticket confirmation menu.
The fact that the passenger cabin is indicated as car number 8 on the standing ticket with no designated seats is to ensure that passengers board the entire train evenly.

▲ For trains with non-reserved seats, in the case of KTX-Sancheon, car 8 becomes a non-reserved seat.

In the case of a simple central train that connects two KTX-Sancheon trains with the same starting and ending stations, cars 15 and 16 are free seats.

However, in the case of a multimodal train that connects or separates two KTX-Sancheon trains at an intermediate station, even though either the departure station or the terminal station is different, the non-reserved seats are cars 8 and 16.

For reference, non-reserved seats are not operated on weekends or holidays, and on weekdays, it is best to ask the staff whether they operate differently depending on the time of day and train.
