rar 압축풀기The most familiar compressed file extension for us would be zip. zip was developed by Phil Katz in 1989 and took its place by defeating competing compression programs, but later, when Windows became a global operating system, the winzip we use now is said to have been made by another company. Zip, which has become the default compression extension due to its high compression speed in open source, provides decompression service by default in Windows XP and later versions.
If you select the zip file as above, the unzip menu appears in the compressed folder tool. You can unzip the file directly without any special program by clicking Unzip.
However, programs compressed with rar, 7z, etc. cannot be decompressed directly in Windows Explorer. A separate program is required.
As above, even if you click 7z or rar, the compressed folder tool does not appear.
Then, how to decompress rar and 7z? The simplest way is to download the compression program of the company that created the extension.

Downloading either program can also decompress files with other extensions, so you only need to download one of them.
From 2010 to 2011, 7-zip was in the limelight for its excellent compression rate, but it has not been updated since 2010, and the compression rate of other compression programs has gradually improved, and in the case of 7-zip, even a small error during compression can create a compressed file. There is a problem of being garbage as a whole, so these days, rar is mainly used.

Likewise, select the download link that matches your Windows bitness. In the case of 7zip, when the download is finished, a message to restart the computer appears. Select ok to force the computer to restart. If you have a program that you are working on, save it and restart it, or press close to prevent it from restarting.
If you have downloaded winRAR, by default all compressed files are set to open with winRAR. Therefore, if you just double-click the compressed file, you can decompress whether it is rar or 7z.
If you downloaded 7-zip, you’ll need to right-click on the compressed file and select Unzip from the 7-zip section.
