경기도 청소년 교통비 지원According to Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation on the 4th, a shared bicycle use and payment service will be implemented through the Gyeonggi Province integrated transportation platform ‘Dokta’ app from January 3 next year, and a ‘Youth Shared Bicycle Use’ service will be provided with a 1,000 won discount for youth in Gyeonggi Province. We are promoting a ‘fee support project’.
Those eligible for support are teenagers aged 13 to 23 who live in Gyeonggi-do according to their resident registration, and can receive an immediate discount of 1,000 won per case when using a shared bicycle linked through the Gyeonggi-do integrated transportation platform ‘Ttokta’ app. In addition to the existing public transportation fare subsidy, you can receive up to 120,000 won per year (up to 60,000 won per semi-annual).
Currently, there are about 40,000 shared bicycles in the province, of which about 8,000 bikes are eligible for discounted rates. The province plans to add more than 10,000 bicycles by the first half of next year.
Recently, as shared bicycles have been highlighted as a carbon-neutral and eco-friendly means of future transportation to replace public transportation, the number of shared bicycle users in Gyeonggi-do is rapidly increasing, and among shared bicycle users, youth account for a significant proportion of approximately 40%. However, because there was no separate support plan for the use of shared bicycles, economically vulnerable youth were burdened with fees.
In November of last year, at the ‘Ansan City People’s Livelihood Field Talk’ attended by Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, a middle school student suggested ‘support for youth’s shared bicycle usage fees and inclusion in the Gyeonggi Province youth transportation cost support project’, and Governor Kim promised to review it on the spot. There is a bar.
Eom-man Eom, head of the Metropolitan Transportation Policy Division, said, “We want to reduce the burden of transportation costs on youth and at the same time contribute to carbon neutrality, and we hope that youth will have the opportunity to use more diverse transportation methods for a sustainable future.”
Min Kyung-seon, CEO of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, said, “We will give youth living nearby the option of administrative services so that more youth can receive transportation subsidy and strive to provide convenient services through the Dtokta platform.”
