This is a card that allows unlimited use of Seoul public transportation for one month after purchase for 65,000 won per month in order to respond to the climate crisis in Seoul and ease household burden in this era of high inflation. You can use the Seoul subway, city village buses, and the public bicycle Ttareungi unlimitedly.

▶ Expected effects of using the Climate Companion Card
By revitalizing public transportation through the use of the Climate Companion Card, the use of passenger cars is expected to decrease by about 13,000 cars per year, which is expected to have the effect of reducing greenhouse gases by 32,000 tons per year.

▶ How to use the Climate Companion Card
– Target: Any citizen of Seoul
– Fee: 65,000 won per month
– How to use: Subway or downtown in Seoul. Unlimited one-stop use of village buses, public bicycle Ttareungi, and river buses (opening in September 2024)
Physical card: Purchase a card for the first 3,000 won and then recharge and use 65,000 won every month.
Smartphone app: Scheduled to be released and available from January to May 2024 (trial operation period)
Apply for Climate Companion Card

– Use all subway lines 1 to 9, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Bundang Line, Gyeongchun Line, Uisinseol Line, and Sillim Line, all of which are available in downtown Seoul.
– Use when boarding in Seoul and ‘getting off’ in other areas such as Gyeonggi or Incheon
– Sinbundang lines with different basic fares cannot be used.
– Gifu Companion Card cannot be used when boarding in areas other than Seoul.
※ Gyeonggi, Incheon, metropolitan, late-night buses, Shinbundang Line, and urban railways other than those in the Seoul area cannot be used.
