Transportation expenses are supported for pregnant women who have been registered as residents in Seoul for more than 6 months as of the date of application, or foreign pregnant women from multicultural families who have been confirmed to have resided in Seoul for more than 6 months.
It is said that transportation expenses for foreign pregnant women are supported, so I hope many people will benefit from this system. (Except when both spouses are foreigners)
The application deadline is 3 months of pregnancy, that is, from the 12th week of pregnancy to 3 months after childbirth.
The application deadline is approximately one year, divided into periods during pregnancy and after childbirth, and the application method is slightly different accordingly.

When visiting, you must bring your ID, pregnancy confirmation, and a cell phone or credit (check) card in your name.
If you want to apply after giving birth, you can access the Seoul Mom Care website and proceed in the same way. The application method for transportation expenses support for foreign pregnant women is the same as for Koreans. However, when applying online or in person, you must additionally attach/bring proof of alien registration, copy of resident registration, and family relationship certificate.
Under this support system, transportation points worth 700,000 won are paid to a credit (check) card in the pregnant woman’s name. When you pay by card, the usage of the points is determined in such a way that they are not deducted from the payment amount, but are deducted from the points.
Most public transportation is covered, and fuel costs for private vehicles are also covered.
However, there are some precautions, so we recommend that you read them before using your points.
※ Notice ※
– Railroad (train): Points can only be used when making reservations on the KORAIL site
– When paying through a ticketing agency site or travel agency, points may be paid with your own credit card rather than deducted.
– If you cancel your train reservation after approval, the fee will be deducted from your points (however, you need to check with the card company’s different operation method)
– Electric vehicle charging may not be applicable to affiliated stores depending on the conditions of each credit card company.
When applying during pregnancy, transportation points can be used from the date of voucher application, that is, from the date the points are paid, and can be used up to 6 months from the expected date of delivery.
If you apply after giving birth, you can use it for up to 6 months from the child’s birth date (child’s resident registration date).
