■ How to issue a 24-hour resident registration certificate online (print, save as PDF)
First, enter ‘Civil Affairs 24’ or ‘Government 24’ in the search box of the Internet portal you frequently use and click ‘Government 24’ found below.
You have accessed the 24-hour government website (www.gov.kr). Government 24 (Civil Service 24) provides integrated services that can be applied for and issued in connection with each organization. Currently, approximately 90,000 services are provided, and approximately 1,000 service applications can be issued. Now, in order to obtain a resident registration copy online, click on ‘Frequent Services’ and click ‘Resident Registration Copy (Abstract)’.
This is information on the civil service service for issuance of resident registration certificate (abstract copy). There is no fee for a copy of resident registration when issued online, but a fee of 400 won per copy is charged when visiting an eup/myeon/dong office. To use the Government 24 Civil Service, you must log in by selecting one of simple authentication, joint/financial certificate, Digital One Pass, ID, and fingerprint security authentication. I will select the joint/finance certificate and proceed.
For those of you who are new to the process, we will tell you how to proceed with the private certificate if you choose simple authentication. Please select the certificate you have among the civilian certificates shown on the left: Samsung Pass, KakaoTalk, Naver, Shinhan Certificate, KB Certificate, Payco, Telecom Service Pass, and Toss. For example, if you selected KakaoTalk, enter your name, date of birth, and mobile phone number, agree to use the service, and click ‘Request authentication’.
After a while, when a KakaoTalk authentication request message arrives on your mobile phone, click ‘Verify’ and enter your 6-digit KakaoTalk certificate password.
After a while, authentication through KakaoTalk will be completed, and if you click ‘Verification Complete’ under Easy Authentication on the PC screen, Government 24 (Civil Service 24) login will be completed.
This is the login progress screen when you select a joint/financial certificate. Select the location of the certificate installed on your PC, enter the password for the certificate, and click ‘Confirm’.
After confirmation, you can apply for a copy of your resident registration (abstract copy). Before applying, please select the applicant’s address, issuance type, and receipt method as shown below and click ‘Submit a complaint’.
In selective issuance, you can select past address changes, household composition information, household member information, and the last digits of your resident registration number.
To receive it, select the online issued self-print to print it out and click ‘Submit a complaint’.
You can now check your civil service application details in My GOV. To print a copy of your resident registration, click the ‘Print Document’ button in My GOV.
To print the resident registration certificate requested in the My GOV service application details, click the ‘Print button’ in the upper right corner.
Make sure that the printer that can print is set to the default settings and click ‘Print’ below to complete the printing of your resident registration certificate.
Saving a copy of your resident registration as a PDF is also simple. Select Change to ‘Save as PDF’ from the existing printer as the printing destination and click ‘Save’ below.
Finally, save it to your PC or select a location on a removable disk and click ‘Save’ to save the resident registration certificate PDF file.
