Tesla Body Rust Limited Warranty
This Body Rust Limited Warranty applies to rust perforation (a hole that penetrates the body panel from the inside out) due to defects in materials or workmanship for 12 years and unlimited mileage.
When the Tesla Rust Warranty does not apply
● Corrosion prevention called neglect or undercoating Vehicles Treated by Procedure
● Corrosion caused by defects in third-party manufacturing or supply materials or workmanship that cause perforation of body panels or chassis from the inside of the vehicle to the outside
● Surface or cosmetic corrosion that causes perforation of body panels or chassis from the outside of the vehicle to the inside, such as by stone chips or scratches
● Corrosion caused by damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, improper maintenance and operation, improper accessory installation, exposure to chemicals, acts of God, natural disasters, fire, or improper storage of the vehicle

Should I take my vehicle to a Tesla Service Center?
