This wikiHow teaches you how to connect a printer wirelessly or wired to a Windows or Mac computer. Once the connection is complete, you can share the printer on your home network so that other computers at home can also print, even if they are not directly connected.
Click on Devices. This option is near the top of the settings window.
Click Printers & Scanners. This tab is on the left side of the window.
Click Add printer or scanner. It’s a button at the top of the page.
Click Install and follow the on-screen instructions. If the printer is compatible with Mac, it will be installed on your computer right away; if not, you may need to click the Download & Install button in the pop-up window to complete the installation. Once this process is complete, you can use the printer on your Mac.
Click on Devices. This option is near the top of the settings window.
Click either Printers & Scanners or Bluetooth & Other Devices. There are two options on the left side of the window: click Printers & Scanners if you have a wireless connection, or Bluetooth & Other Devices if you have a Bluetooth connection.
Click Add Printer or Scanner or Add Bluetooth & Other Devices. From the options at the top of the page, select the appropriate option depending on whether you have a wireless Internet or Bluetooth connection.
Click System Settings. This option is near the top of Apple’s drop-down menu.
Click Printers & Scanners. It’s a printer-shaped icon in system settings.
+ Click. It’s near the bottom-left corner of the window.
Click Status. This tab is in the upper-left side of the window.
Click Share Options. It’s under the “Change network settings” heading near the top of the page.
Expand your personal options. to the right of the individual
